Compulsory Attendance Ages: Between the ages of 7 and 17.
Required Days of Instruction: 180 days (public schools only).
Required Subjects: None.
Home School Statute: None
Home Schools have two options:
- Church School Option
- Private Tutor Option (hiring a private, certified teacher/tutor)
Teacher Qualifications: None, if the home school is operated as a ministry of a local church. Certification is necessary if home school tries to qualify as “private school,” or as a “private tutor.”
Standardized Tests: Not required by statute.
